Meet your host

Hello, I’m Sergio.

I’m a Spanish sommelier based in Cork and the person behind The Wine Taster. I created it to make wine feel more open, memorable and genuinely enjoyable, wherever you are on your wine journey.

My tastings combine clear guidance with the pleasure of discovery. We can talk about grape varieties and regions, of course. What matters most is finding the words for what you like and sharing that experience with others.

Before you enquire

A few useful answers.

Do I need to know about wine?

No. Private and corporate tastings are designed to be approachable, with space to ask questions and discover what you enjoy.

Do you travel outside Cork?

Yes, enquiries elsewhere in Ireland are welcome. Dates, travel and venue arrangements are assessed individually and included in your proposal.

Is wine included?

Your proposal confirms who supplies wine, glassware and other materials. These arrangements depend on the format and venue.

How much does it cost?

The total depends on the service, group, location and agreed arrangements. Share a few details for a tailored quote before making a commitment.

Can guests join without drinking alcohol?

Yes. Mention this when planning so participation and suitable drink options can be discussed.
